EXECUTIVE TEAM

Andrew Samuel
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Samuel is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Graystone Financial Corp. and Graystone Bank. Mr. Samuel was most recently President and CEO of the central PA and Maryland regions for a large east coast financial institution. Prior to that he served as President and COO of a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, based financial institution with over $5 billion in assets. Mr. Samuel has served as a Trustee of Messiah College, Director of the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, Director of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber, Director of the Harrisburg YMCA, Chairman of Envision of South Central PA, Director of Central PA Marketplace, Chairman of the Intercity Task Force of Envision (Capital Region), and Former Division Chairman of United Way’s Capital Region. Mr. Samuel is a graduate of Messiah College and lives in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, with his wife and five daughters.

Jeffrey Renninger
Executive Vice President

Mr. Renninger is Executive Vice President of Graystone Financial Corp, and Executive Vice President of Lancaster, Lebanon, York and State College Regions of Graystone Bank. Mr. Renninger has more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently as President of the Lancaster/Lebanon Region of a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, based financial institution with over $5 billion in assets. He resides in Lititz, and serves as President and member of the executive committee of Junior Achievement of Central Pennsylvania, Director of the United Way of Lancaster County, Director of Pennsylvania College of Art, and Director of Lancaster City Keystone Innovation Zone. He also is an active Director of Bent Creek’s Finance Committee and is on the Board of United Disability Services.

Janak Amin
Executive Vice President

Mr. Amin serves as Executive Vice President of Graystone Financial Corp. and Executive Vice President of Capital and Maryland Regions of Graystone Bank. Mr. Amin was previously President of the Capital Region of a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, based financial institution with over $5 billion in assets, where he oversaw Retail and Commercial departments. Mr. Amin earned his undergraduate from Liverpool Business School (U.K.), and his MBA from Pennsylvania State University in 1993. He has served as a Director of the Leukemia Society of Central PA (and won Man of the Year in 2004), Director of Penn State Alumni Board, Director of the Board of The Arch of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties, Director of The Harrisburg Symphony, Director of UCP of Central Pennsylvania, Director of Penn State Advisory Council and The Tuesday Club. Mr. Amin currently serves as a Trustee of Hari Temple and is on the Board of Holy Spirit Hospital. Mr. Amin lives in Harrisburg with his wife and two daughters.

Mark Merrill
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Merrill serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Graystone Financial Corp. and Graystone Bank. Mr. Merrill has responsibility for corporate accounting and reporting, bank accounting and reporting, corporate finance, corporate treasury, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Graystone he was Vice President and Manager of Accounting and Financial Controls of a financial institution with over $5 billion in assets. Previously, Mr. Merrill was employed over five years in the financial services industry with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. In this capacity, he provided consulting and auditing services to banking and mortgage banking clients. Mr. Merrill is a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

Carl Lundblad
Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel

Mr. Lundblad is Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Graystone Financial Corp. and Graystone Bank. In this role, Mr. Lundblad serves as the Company’s legal counsel, including strategic planning and implementation, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Mr. Lundblad joined the company from Rhoads & Sinon LLP, where he was a Partner and Manager of the Banking and Securities Practice Group and advised financial institutions concerning corporate, securities and regulatory matters for over 10 years. Mr. Lundblad is a graduate of Messiah College and received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations, the Business Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Legal Affairs Advisory Committee. He also serves as Chair of the Messiah College Alumni Council, and Vice Chair of the Paxton Ministries Board of Trustees. Mr. Lundblad lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife and two sons.

Jane Tompkins
Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Ms. Tompkins serves as the Chief Credit Officer for Graystone Bank and is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s overall credit risk strategy, credit risk and portfolio management, credit policy, and loan review. Tompkins has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with over 12 years in credit policy management. Prior to Graystone Bank, she was President of 5 C’s Consulting, based out of New Kingstown, and was responsible for reviewing the asset quality of commercial banks. Ms. Tompkins has served in senior leadership positions responsible for credit risk management for a number of Pennsylvania financial institutions. Ms. Tompkins is actively involved in the community, having served on the board of several organizations including the YWCA, Theatre Harrisburg, Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, RMA Associates of Central Pennsylvania, and the Humane Society of Harrisburg. In addition, she has served on the Finance Committee of the United Way and as a Community Advisory Board member for the Junior League. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Elizabethtown College and currently resides in Carlisle with her husband.
