A team of Graystone Bank employees hit the street and put the pedal to metal during the United Way Capitol Region's 14th Annual Trike Race.
The speedy, four-member race crew from Graystone Bank earned a second place finish at the annual three-wheeled competition that helps raise awareness for the United Way's annual campaign. More than thirty Graystone Bank employees showed their support and spirit at the event, earning the Entourage Award, which is given to the team with the best presence and most team spirit. Graystone Bank was one of twenty three organizations to participate in this year's tricycle race held in downtown Harrisburg.
The United Way of the Capitol Region is a non-profit organization that is committed identifying and addressing community needs in an effort to build a stronger community.
On Saturday, May 15th, the Granite Run office hosted a community yard sale and bake sale. All proceeds from the day’s event were donated to Mom’s House, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing day care to single parents, allowing parents to continue their education.
The Fourth Annual Graystone Tower Charity Golf Outing will be held at Colonial Country Club, August 23rd at 10:00 am. Proceeds from the outing will be donated to The PA Breast Cancer Coalition, The PIAA Foundation, Hope International, and Drug Free Pennsylvania. Graystone Tower Bank is proud to help each of these organizations positively impact the lives of the people in the communities that we work and live in. To date the Graystone Tower golf outings have donated over $40,000 to over 30 different charitable organizations around the state.

Graystone Bank representatives along with local community members were on hand to celebrate the opening of Graystone Bank’s thirteenth location. Dillsburg Mayor, Henry Snyder, welcomed the crowd and introduced Jewel Cooper, senior retail executive of Graystone Bank. Following the ribbon cutting, Graystone Bank presented a check in the amount of $250 the Citizens Hose Company. “Citizens Hose Company plays a prominent role in keeping our community safe,” said Jewel Cooper. “We know the men and women of this organization do a remarkable job responding to calls in the community and we are pleased to give them our support.” The new Dillsburg branch is conveniently located inside the Giant store at 830 US Route 15 in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. The hours of operation are Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. An onsite ATM is available 24/7.

The downtown State College branch marks the 12th Graystone Bank location. December 2, 2009 (Harrisburg, PA) – Graystone Tower Bank was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2009 at an evening awards ceremony which took place on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, PA.. The awards program, created in 2000, is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country. A four-year extension of $250,000 FDIC deposit insurance has been placed on all non-interest bearing transaction deposit accounts at Graystone Bank, which includes all personal and business checking deposit accounts that do not earn interest, are fully insured for the entire amount in the deposit account. The insurance limit was slated to roll back to $100,000 Jan. 1, 2010, but Congress has extended the deadline through Dec. 31, 2013.
